Blissful benefits of an Indian Head Massage

It feels so good! One of the treatments I offer is the soothing benefits of a head massage. It’s a reflexology treatment that has many names. It’s known as Indian Head Massage, Champissage, Champi, Ayurvedic Head Massage, or as Healing Head Massage.

No matter the name, it’s very therapeutic especially if you are a busy person on the go who also spends many hours a day on the phone, hunched over a computer, stocking shelves, working a cash register, sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle for hours. Unconsciously many of us, no matter our occupation, push our chins slightly forward when concentrating on our work, making eye, head, and neck strain inevitable. So where do you turn for relief?

Body massage is one of the oldest treatments people have been giving each other for thousands of years to relieve stress and tension. Indian Head Massage emerges out of India where Ayurveda, the ancient system of Indian medicine, was developed. Head massage blends in nicely to the other reflexology treatments I offer as they all designed in different ways to balance the body, mind, and spirit, together aimed at promoting overall good health and long life. Indian Head Massage concentrates on massaging the face, head/scalp, neck, shoulders, and upper back and arms.

As we know, the brain is the core of the nervous system. By massaging the scalp and neck, I am in fact treating your whole body as your nerves, blood and lymph vessels run down your spine to all the other regions of your body. Indian Head Massage is offered to you while you’re seated and fully clothed, so it’s very easy to administer. There are numerous benefits from receiving head massage. This includes stress relief by breaking down knots and nodules in muscle tissue, promotes a clearer mind where you feel refreshed, awake and uplifted, stimulates blood circulation, plus it’s beneficial for hair growth and shine. Additionally, Indian Head Massage may be applied to relieve eyestrain, insomnia, headaches, jaw ache, sinus congestion, and ear aches. It’s a beautifully relaxing treatment that will put a bounce back into your step. Why deny feeling great this March?
