Reflexology and it’s many benefits

Reflexology and it’s many benefits

Hello my name is Lis Kunzi and I am a CRCT Registered Reflexologist with RAC (Reflexology Association of Canada), where I also sit on the Board of Directors. I obtained my Diploma in Reflexology in Pretoria ,South Africa and have practiced ever since. I came to Calgary in June of 2007 and run my own practice part time.

In January of 2009 several other collages and I opened our first Reflexology Chapter in Alberta. Chapters are a kind of foundation where other Reflexologist can further their knowledge, with various workshops and seminars and at the same time promote Reflexology.

I would like to present you with a short account of what Reflexology is and its many benefits.

Reflexology is an ancient, non-invasive natural healing therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears, which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through the application of pressure of these reflexes, using hands, fingers and thumbs stimulates the body’s own healing capabilities. As well as bringing about a deep state of relaxation and well being.

Reflexology is not a therapy used to diagnose an illness, nor prescribe medication. It does not cure the body and it does not treat for a specific condition. –The body does that for us. Practiced on a regular bases Reflexology re-generates the body’s ability to self-heal. Reflexologist treat the body as a whole: Body, Mind and Spirit and endeavourer to get to the root cause of disease and treat this- not the symptoms.

The benefits are many and varied and range from:

  • Enhancing physical and mental relaxation
  • Improving lymph and blood circulation
  • Relieve stress
  • Improves insomnia
  • Headaches
  • Constipation and diarrhea
  • Relieve pain and improve conditions like cancer, arthritis, fibromyalgia and MS
  • Helps re-balancing the whole body to function at an optimum level
  • To mention just a few

This of course is just a brief outline of what Reflexology is and what it can do for your health. If reading this article has sparked some interest and if you would like to gain some more knowledge and understanding, then I would be more than pleased to give a presentation and a hands on demonstration. Please let me know so we can arrange a day that would suit you.

Thank you very much for your interest.

Sincerely
Lis Kunzi
