Why see a Reflexology Therapist? A Testimonial

Today’s blog is a testimonial, written by a client of mine who gave me permission to share his experience with you. I want you to learn from a client’s point of view, how reflexology does make a difference:

“As I came to the door, Lis greeted me with a friendly smile as I handed her my intake forms which she graciously emailed to me beforehand. We talked about my health status and whether I had any health concerns. Then it was into her reflexology studio for my first treatment.

After Lis cleansed my feet, I was asked to lie down on a treatment table, fully clothes except for my socks.  Lis thoroughly studied my feet for some time and just by studying them she developed a clear indication of what conditions I was suffering from. During and after the reflexology session I was in heaven.  I didn’t know anyone who doesn’t like a good foot massage, but don’t let Lis, a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist, hear you say “foot massage” because that’s not what reflexology is!

Lis loves to educate her clients about “what is” reflexology.  She took the time to explain what was happening to my body, focusing on the importance of the reflex points on my feet, stating that when specific reflex points were stimulated, through pressure and touch, this will begin to restore homeostasis in the body. I learned that, the less interference we have in our body, whether that’s through stress, anxiety, or pain, the better and faster the body heals. I learned that the human body has an innate ability to heal itself.

The treatment lasted an hour and I believe I nodded off possibly during the last 10 minutes. It was wonderfully relaxing. I can’t tell you enough what a professional Lis is, because she just is! Having worked for more than 20 years in this field of expertise, she has a lot of experience and knowledge to share.  Lis knows what areas of your body needs to be ‘worked on’ to obtain the best results. When I went home that night, I had the best sleep possible.

My parting advice is, seek out a certified Reflexology Therapist where you live. If you reside in Calgary, connect with Lis right away!”
